Chair and Disco Funk

Ferd Tocol

Ferd Tocol is a versatile dancer and educator with over 25 years of experience across jazz, ballet, musical theatre, and hip hop. His training and career have taken him to New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and internationally, working with top choreographers and creative teams.
Ferd’s performance credits span live stage, television, film, and commercial work, including major brands, concert productions, and feature films. He has appeared in projects for MTV, EA Sports, Coca-Cola, and Panago Pizza, and has danced in films such as Scooby-Doo 2, Dr. Dolittle, and Reefer Madness. He also performed in the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.

Hip Hop

Julia Bose

Julia Bose came into this world with an innate need to create, and a love of music and movement. Born and raised in Victoria BC, she explored many different dance disciplines, leading to discovering her love of Tap, Hip Hop, and Choreography. 


Julia has taught and performed all over the world at renowned Street Dance events, from Montreal, to New York, to New Zealand. After making the move to Vancouver, Julia competed with TwoFourSeven Company. Their emotional Body rock win caught the attention of “America’s got Talent” producers, who flew them all to California to try their luck with the judges. This experience opened up the door to the TV / Film world, which Julia is currently pursuing (credits include Riverdale, Motherland, and Another Life), as well as commercials (Google, Expedia, Front Door, Johnsonville, Columbia, Activia, and more), music videos, and live performances. From representing Canada as a dancer on Team Canada, to choreographing for the team starting in 2023, Julia has shifted focus into leading and creating for dancers in Vancouver (ITP, Source, Harbour Dance, A3 District, and more). Julia’s magnetic and nurturing teaching style, coupled with her knowledge of Hip Hop foundation / history, musicality, and industry experience, has made her a sought after instructor and choreographer in Vancouver and beyond.

STREET JAZZ

Elise Melo

Elise Melo is a dynamic dance educator and mentor with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She is passionate about helping dancers unlock their potential through movement, discipline, mindfulness, and self-belief.
As a performer, Elise has worked with renowned choreographers including Vincent Patterson, Luther Brown, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, and Gus Bembery, with television and film credits spanning YTV, Nickelodeon, Apple TV, ABC, and Paramount+. As an educator, she is a sought-after instructor across Canada, having taught at Harbour Dance Centre and contributed to leading programs and conventions such as Groove Street Dance Productions, Street Groove Dance Convention, Plie Prep’s Pure Progression Intensive, and CDTA Dance Jam.

Ballet

Krista Hassen

Krista is a ballet educator with over 27 years of teaching experience. Born in BC, she trained in professional ballet programs across Canada and Montreal, including the National Ballet School of Canada, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Banff Centre for the Arts, and L’École Supérieure de Danse du Québec.
A Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, Krista has taught throughout BC and Alberta and worked with emerging professional dancers at Ballet BC and Lamondance. Known for her passion, precision, and high technical standards, she encourages strong technique while supporting individual expression in every dancer.

Lyrical

Liz Tookey

Liz is a contemporary dance artist, performer, and choreographer with an international career spanning stage, screen, and musical theatre. Her performance work has taken her around the world, including Princess Cruises, Tokyo DisneySea, and international tours for the Canadian military.
Liz’s credits include musical theatre productions such as Dirty Dancing (North American premiere), Anne of Green Gables, and Spamalot, as well as television and film appearances on Hellcats, Once Upon a Time, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, and Scooby-Doo 2. She has also worked as a choreographer and assistant on projects including So You Think You Can Dance Canada and Reefer Madness, and continues to teach, adjudicate, and coach dancers across Canada.

Jazz

Mackenzie Green

After spending 11 years working professionally as a dancer and choreographer in Los Angeles, Mackenzie has recently returned to Vancouver, Canada. Throughout his career, he has built an impressive resume, appearing in major film and television productions such as CBS's Dancing With The Stars, Paramount's Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Netflix's Julie & The Phantoms and The Woman in the House, Disney's Descendants franchise, Hulu's Chippendales, NBC's Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, Amazon's Elle, Showtime's Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, FOX's 9-1-1: Lone Star, and ABC's Once Upon a Time. His credits also include Glee, Step Up 5, The Middle, Witches of East End, and many more.

Mackenzie's talent extends beyond the screen to some of the world's most prestigious live events. He has performed at the Academy Awards for Barbie - I'm Just Ken, The Grammy Awards, The Primetime Emmy Awards, The Voice, America's Got Talent, the Latin Grammy Awards, Lip Sync Battle, the MTV Awards, the Pan American Games, and the Riot Games ceremonies for League of Legends and VALORANT. His impressive list of collaborations includes global superstars such as Jennifer Lopez, One Republic, Paula Abdul, Katy Perry, Meghan Trainor, RuPaul, Gloria Trevi, Keke Palmer, Nelly Furtado, Robyn, Cece Peniston, Crystal Waters, Stevie Mackie, PVRIS, Mel C, Tom Odell, Hurts, Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Todrick Hall, Patrick Starrr, and many more.

Now, with a wealth of experience and a deep love for the art of dance, Mackenzie is dedicated to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of dancers.

Popping

Helen Dang

Helen Dang is a Chinese-Canadian dancer, actress, and martial artist. She is a versatile performer and educator known for her dynamic movement quality, musicality, and strong foundation in popping and hip hop, both in choreography and freestyle.

Her professional credits include Descendants: Wicked Wonderland (Disney+), Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 3 (Netflix), Riverdale (The CW), The Christmas Chronicles II (Netflix), Hollywood Arts (Nickelodeon), and Scrubs (ABC).

As a former Director of TwoFourSeven Company—one of North America’s top competitive dance teams—Helen has trained and led dancers to championship titles. Her classes focus on intention, foundation, musicality, and performance quality, guiding dancers to develop both technical skill and personal expression while finding their voice through the art form of dance.

Joanne Pesusich

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Joanne is a dancer, choreographer, and director who has trained and performed internationally, including in Vancouver, New York, and Los Angeles. Her performance career includes work with artists such as The Backstreet Boys, Prince, Kool & the Gang, and appearances alongside Busta Rhymes, Lauryn Hill, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Joanne’s credits span stage, television, and film, with appearances in projects including Scooby-Doo 2, White Chicks, Christmas Chronicles 2, and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. She is the director of The Source Dance Company at Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver, where she focuses on training, performance, and professional development for emerging dancers.

Erika Mayall

Erika is a registered physiotherapist and owner of Allegro Performance + Wellness, a boutique clinic in North Vancouver specializing in the care of dancers and artistic athletes. A former elite dancer, her work focuses on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and optimizing performance.
With specialized training in dance medicine across Australia, Canada, and the United States, Erika is a sought-after educator and speaker within the dance community. She is also the host of The Dance Physio Podcast, where she works to bridge the gap between dance science and the studio.

Jordan Allarie

Jordan Allarie is a choreographer, director, and live event creative whose work lives at the intersection of performance and spectacle. With over two decades in the industry, his career spans stages, screens, and stadiums—from dancing with Royal Caribbean International to shaping large-scale productions with PRP: Patrick Roberge Productions. His creative fingerprints can be found across landmark events including the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games and multiple Grey Cup Halftime Show stages, collaborating with artists such as Nickelback, Marianas Trench, and Imagine Dragons. Whether directing pyro-musical spectacles or developing character-driven storytelling, his work is defined by scale, precision, and a distinct theatrical edge. Rooted in a foundation that began at age three and expanded through elite training and professional performance, Jordan has evolved into an award-winning choreographer and sought-after educator. His credits span stage, screen, and television, including So You Think You Can Dance Canada and Canada’s Got Talent, as well as collaborations with Katy Perry and her team for the Invictus Games and projects with Paramount Pictures, NBC, and CTV. Known for crafting bold, story-driven movement, Jordan continues to shape the next generation of dancers, bringing a perspective that is equal parts industry-honed and artistically fearless.
